G'day guys,

Since all the blogs I've studied can easily be found in a Google search, I have no provacy restructions in publishing thelist of blogs that I'm studying. I however would like to keep the list from this blog until the thesis has been submitted, as I'm still in conversations with many bloggers. If people would like a list, I can email it to them.

You're right. Thanks for noting my slip. I'll amend that on the post.

Just for the record, 'Riverside Community Church' here in Perth, is actually called Riverview Church.

Hey Judy,

It's not really me who's saying Hillsong is not a church. It's the people whose blogs I've been studying. I would say their construction of church involves people, both lay and ordained/employed work and worship together in ministry to each other and mission to people and communities. Their construction of the mega-church model is one where staff create spiritual goods and services for audiences and consumers.

I'd prefer "construction" as a better word than "definition", because it's they don't say talk much about defining what a church is. They do talk a lot about good churches and bad churches. And there are a few references to Hillsong being "not a church, but a business".

Hi. Just wondering if you could clarify your definition of a "church" and based on that definition why you state that Hillsong is not a church ....
