My very first university lecture. I’m rather nervous.
The text is here, and the accompanying PowerPoint presentation is here.
If you’d care to read, I’d appreciate tonnes of feedback and criticism.
Thanks to Fernando and Stephen for locating great resources and examples for me to use in this lecture. Aint the blogosphere brilliant? (This should get your Technorati ranking moving, F).

Paul I think you[‘ve got a great structure here that should make the students think about things that they probably take for granted. Well done.

Mary-Helen,
Given how busy you are, I really appreciate you taking the time to read and offer feedback.
Lately I’ve been thinking about what I said about Web 2.0, and how it sounds like a sales pitch. I should amend it at some stage (and if I don’t in writing I’ll remember to say it on the day) with some criticism about how power shifts from provider to produser, but it’s only a slight shift. Power still resides in the providers of the online sites, and discussions about Murdoch and Myspace are an example of that.
