Apparently, according to The Great Firewall of China, this blog is blocked in the world’s largest nation. Could be a technical thing, could be that I use the “f” word, or maybe that I use the “g” word.
Hat tip to Arthur_Vandelay.

Apparently there’s a banner you can add to your blog that reads “Banned in Red China”–I’ve no idea how to install it, however.

Arthur, just go to the layout page on you blogger account, and go to where you can edit the design script. Then copy and paste the banner code under where it says <body>. I think that’s how it works.

The owner of the English-language bookshop in Hanoi said that all it needed to have a book banned in Vietnam was to have any variant of the g word on its cover — The Buddha of Suburbia, The Poisonwood Bible were two that she mentioned. (She did say that anythign with “Vietnam” in the title, including cook books, was also banned, so you may have inadvertently mentioned porcelain …)
