Ah, I've finally been outed. Yes, cigarettes are bad.

As long as there's a pack of B&H Fine in my pocket I will not be green. The butts fill up the earth and do not degrade. The tobacco was taken from exploited workers in an exploited landscape that used to be a forest that gave the planet its oxygen and rain. It fills up my body so that my organs will be of no use to anyone, including me.

As long as there are cigarettes in my life I will never be green, just an ugly yellow-brown. I have my share in the evil that's ruining our home.

My apologies if I have misled. I never wanted to give an impression that I am a greenie, or that I may be an authority on environmentalism. I wanted to make a humble notice of my participation in the changing environment and what I make of it, and myself. If anything, I wanted to show that I'm not as green as I should, and apologise for it.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll stop making posts about green things until I have some more authority to do so.

Hey Paul, I know how you feel. We've made a lot of changes and keep making them, yet there is so much more to do.

For inspiration, check out this guy: http://noimpactman.typepad.com/blog/

As for studies, I'm one of the only people I know who is operating an 'almost' paperless PhD. I have a reference library which is all electronic and I read on screen. I write notes in my Endnote library. My reference library travels with me easily. For the rest of it, you can always purchase 100% recycled copy paper :)
