I confess I do it. I’m not proud of it, but I find myself invovled in it about once a week or two. It boosts me, gives me a nice surprise every once in a while that makes me feel good about myself.
I enter “Paul Teusner” into a google search.
Don’t tell me you’ve never done it.
Just now I did it and found a new entry in a British Christian magazine website. This guy, John Allan (just in case he googles himself he find a link here) has wrtten an article of where to find stuff on YouTube relating to Christianity. He mentions me as an “Australian academic”.
Guess I’m going to have to get used to being called that. Don’t think I deserve it just yet.

In the spirit of trans-Tasman relations, I’m not going to take the bait. But it’s oh so tempting.

Hey Mary-Helen, sounds like a good idea. I’ve just done it myself. Sorry, Stephen, not sure which bait you’re referring to.

I believe it’s called “ego-surfing”.
I do it all the time.

Paul, thanks for the article reference. I read it and the associated sites. It seems you haven’t found much more than I have. It’s dissappointing the emerging church has produced so little to date and that what is there is mostly talking heads. I can’t help but contrast this to the huge volume of neopagan material being churned out, with much more of it being experienced based. Seems others are taking to the medium much quicker and once more the church is slow off the mark.

Matt,
What is it about neopaganism that has allowed it to flourish on the web so much?
I think there is a bevvy of stuff on the emerging church, but not all of it is labelled as such. There is quite substantial material on exploring mission in new contexts coming out of the UCA, but if you were searching for it using the same old keywords you wouldn’t find it.
