Now, thanks to laptops with home wifi, reflexive journalism is possible. As I’m watching The Cutting Edge on SBS I’m blogging about what I see…
On 3 May 2006 the Sultan of Morocco allowed a group of graduates become religious leaders in the state religion on Islam. Six of these were women. Women imams!
Now, if Muslims in Morocco can appoint women to religious authority and service, surely we can give the Anglicans in Sydney and NE Victoria, and the Pope a nudge in same direction, yeah?
I am truly inspired by the women I’m watching right now, who are struggling in their new positions of responsibility while at the same time typecast into political roles in the midst of moderate-extremist tension. God give them continuing courage.

Is there a link to the programme? Sounds really interesting.
The wifi thing also gives a whole new meaning to “embedded” journalism. All those bloggers writing stuff while tucked up in their PJs

Don’t know about a direct link, but go to http://www.sbs.com.au and search through the Cutting Edge programme links. See how you go.
Embedded journalism – good one!
If blogging in bed is embedded journalism, what’s blogging on the toilet? (besides craved, shamed addiction and fanaticism).

Two thoughts:
1. Turn the video conferencing camera off.
2. Check you don’t have one of those exploding laptop batteries.
