I came across Bryan Murley, another PhD student, at the University of North Carolina, who’s research topic is almost identical to mine. Mine has a more national focus than his. His dissertation proposal is really quite impressive, and shows me how limited my history in media studies, in particular, media and textual analysis, is and how much more theory I need to digest.
